Camping at the bottom of the former Zuider Zee.
Camping het Groene Bos is situated on the edge of our country’s biggest hardwood woods (some 3,700 hectares), ‘Horsterwold’ in the Province of Flevoland. Cattle and horses graze in the ‘Stille Kern’. To ensure that the area stays peaceful and quiet we offer no more than 50 tourist pitches and 30 seasonal pitches on our four hectare camp site. You will find no static caravans or busy catering establishments here.
All pitches are provided with an electricity hook-up and communal water tap. Part of the site, which is designed to resemble a park, accommodates ‘comfort pitches’ with a 10 Amp hook-up and their own water tap and waste water drainage system. A new heated sanitary block, containing toilet facilities for senior citizens and a baby bath, is located centrally on the site. The playground is equipped with children’s bicycles, scooters and go-karts that can be used by the children all over the camp site.
Our camp site is the ideal place for nature lovers, elderly persons and families with young children. Walking routes, cycling routes and horse tracks are situated conveniently nearby. The historical town of Harderwijk with its Dolfinarium can be visited by ferry (bicycles only). Theme parks such as Walibi World and the Aviodrome are also in the vicinity. And did you know that Zeewolde also has fantastic sandy beaches along the lake areas between former coast and empoldered land?
We look forward to greeting you at Camping het Groene Bos!
